In animes, we hear a lot about the ace pilots and their superweapons. They seem immune to the attacks of mere mortals and their very presence turns the tide of battle.
But what about the regular troops and their machines? Why not tell the story of the soldiers who struggle day in and day out on the battlefield?
I build the ships that you don't see in every episode--the ships and fighters that really win the war. You won't find the White Base, or the Archangel, or a Gundam here--but you will find the carriers, battleships, escorts, and mobile armors used by everyone else.
Why do I do this? Because the richness of a fictional universe is measured not by the story of the protagonist but by the stories of those in the background.
