I believe that this carries great potential, and I love the idea of having custom built stuff.
There is only one problem, and that is the abysmal character physics, textures, and animations. What is the fun in having a custom suit if it doesn\'t move well? I\'m sure that animation and textures...
It is true that big ships accelerate ridiculously fast and also turn slowly, and this does take away from combat.
If this is implemented it will need (I know this is talked about a lot) a FTL Drive, it will balance out by the fact that big ships have good FTL drives, and small ships don\'t...
Have ships move at speeds proportional to their mass to thrust ratio. Then integrate a FTL drive to essentially teleport across the bigger distances, this can be balanced by the fact that your not going to see stuff in between which makes main engines still a big feature in the game.
I do think that the update is bad, since a little ship shouldn\'t be able to SINGLE HANDEDLY kill a bigger more expensive on, as for the examples of the Bismark and Yamamato, do you realize that they were killed by a **** ton of fighters and bombers not one little one.
