      Ships classes don\'t really matter at the moment. It\'s just building the biggest ships and spamming the most blocks, cause that\'s how you \"win\".

      Both, actually. And if ships cost 5 billion instead of 500 million, you\'ll see a whole lot less of them. That is, if a proper economy is implemented.

      I think a good way to fight gigantism in this game would be to put an exponential cost on things that make ships stronger, like weapons and shields. Simple and effective

      I wish was wondering if there are plans to make an actual viable economy in this game, or if it's gonna be a simple "build as big as possible ship and pew pew" kind of game. Right now, it's way too easy to earn money, but I don't know whether that is because of the alpha, or if that is the intent.

      More mass = Less Shield Effectiveness

      I think it'd be a great and realistic mechanic that how bigger the mass of a ship is, the less effective shields are. It makes sense, because the more mass a shield has to cover, the thinner it would be.

      Fighting Gigantism in Starmade

      I hope this game won\'t go in the direction of catering to massive ships only. Building a capital ship should be an effort a single player shouldn\'t be able to accomplish. It would be lame and unrealistic if every single player had a death star. I actually prefer smaller ships like cruisers...
