The same thing happens to me, I have the same graphics card as Kharthynogus.

If I restart the game they come back, but once I press left control again, they all vanish. The arrow showing which direction the block is facing is still there, and you can delete blocks, but you cannot see them.

Whenever I go to the advanced build mode all of the blocks on the screen will either turn invisible or get a glass texture, which gets the FPS down to about 3 and makes it very frustrating when i have to change a blocks orientation. It stopped doing it and worked fine for maybe a couple minutes...

Or you could attach rockets to the asteroids and tow them to some giant ship that automatically reduced them to their resources... Then it would be one giant entity, instead of a thousand.

And then that space would be littered with the damaged blocks of the gutted ship, pinging off your viewscreen as you moved in to strip what was left of its systems. That would be amazing...It would also be cool if they added stress to the ships, so once you smashed a huge hole in a destroyers...

I think it would be cool if the asteroids started out as they do now, fixed in space, but you could attach engines to them and move them to processing facilities, or hollow them out and create basic ships, or moveable bases. I'm not sure how much lag a few thousand moving blocks would make, but...

I have an Acer Aspire, and anytime I get near enough to a planet for it to load, the FPS goes down to 2. However, if you stay in space, make a harvesting ship, get enough materials and credits to make a decent attack ship, and kill off a few pirates, you\'ll have enough loot to not need to worry...
