Well been a while (been busy with RL stuff) but here's an update on the ship. After taking a good look at the ship it seems that most the detail already on it will need some work. I'll have to rebuild the front cause I don't like the look of it atm and the rear needs a lot of detail or I'll gonna have to rebuild that aswell.

Found some old doodles and plans about the ship, seems her name was 'Pristyana' and an escort ship was to be build to protect her, her little sister 'Pristina'. So far she carriers 42 fighters (25 l x 23 w x 9 h max) of which 16 in drop hangers and 26 in the main hanger. The drop hangers are fine as they are, maybe a few adjustments but I don't think I'm going to change much about them.

Been working on the bridge mostly and some other sideprojects like turrets and ships. I will post an update about those once I completed a bunch.

God damn, thing looks like a futuristic gun more than a ship!

The bridge is especially sexy, I love the nuclear reactors.

So I'm a bit stuck on what the front of the bridge should look like. Rather put that on hold then build something I will have to rebuild later on. So I moved on to the old missile control. It was simply to small and I didn't like the looks of it anymore, so I removed it and builded a nicer looking radar control on it's place. Here's a look guys.

And here is the new radar control.

I'm finishing up the ships main turret now. Once I'm done with that one I'll post some pics of the turrets I've build for the ship so far.

Well as said here are some turrets I've been building.

Well this prototype is most likely to end up on the graveyard rather then on the ship. It ended up being way bigger then I wanted. Might find some other use for it on something els.

This one is most likely to be put on the ship. It was build with the idea of a heavy punch through cannon.

Well this is most likely going to be the ships main (artillery) turret. Seems only logical that you don't want anything to big to get close to a carrier and anything that does should think twice of doing so.

Also started putting my playerlogo back on build big enough to support it. Gives it a little bit extra.

Well RL things are really sucking up all my free time, so I can't play games as much as I would like. But I found some free time to work on the build.

    Fuel Refinery:
Well sinds it's a carrier, the ships it carries will have to refuel. So I build a fuel refinery on it's back. Still have to build the refuel station but first I'll have to sort out the back of the ship.

    Power Generators:
Well I was planning to build the refinery and the power station on the upper back, but the refinery got a bit big. So I had to find an other place for it. So far I only finished the power generators, but you can't miss them.

    Manoeuvrability Thrusters:
This bit took me a decent amount of time to finish. I'm really slow when it comes to small detail. Larger structures are easy, the smaller detail is just really hard for me.

    Main Engines:
Well like I said, the back is going to need a lot of detail or I'm going to have to rebuild it. Well I couldn't come up with a solution or detailing structures for the curved shape, so I went with the second plan. It's not fully finished yet but it's a start.

Do tell me what you guys think about it. Normally I would ask the opinions of ppl on the MP server I would play on but sinds I only play on SP now I'm kinda lacking some outside input.

You sir, are a very good builder and I envy your skills.

By miss the power generators I'm sure you didn't intend double meaning. :p

As in it would be impossible to aim and not hit the generators :p

Well didn't had much time to play starmade. So many RL things to do, so little free time. But I did manage to get the engines in place. Also updated the first post, those starter pictures aren't really accurate anymore.

    Main Engines
I would say they look a lot better then the first draft that's for sure. That old design was pretty much me trying to force myself building without inspiration.

*Thinks about giving an agree rating* ... vanity much? All jokes aside I wish I was as good as some builders on these forums. One of my friends once made the joke on me that I build ships at the same rate the game is getting developed, ... he still is right till this day with that. I'm a very picky builder, if I don't like the looks for whatever reason I can come up with I will rebuild/retry it, a really time consuming thing. (I build like 6 different bridges before settling with the one I got now)

I love ships that have a simple design and look great with simple detail but expressing a lot, and I just fail so badly at that.

By miss the power generators I'm sure you didn't intend double meaning. :p

Had the same idea when I was building them. I was like 'Snap, this is more flawed then the death star!'. So I added shield generators on the side of them, they are pretty hard to see on the larger picture and not that detailed yet.

See the spiky thing with the green circle on the top, bottom and sides? Those are the basic draft for the shield generators for now, but they will need some work later on.

Don't really got much to show for but I hope you guys like it. Hope I will find some time to continue building on it.

Well found some time and started on remodeling the main hanger. Still a first rough draft but here's a sneak peak.

    Hope you guys like it.

Somewhere in a previous post I mentioned that I was building some ships for the carrier. It's a carrier after all so it has carry something. Kinda got started on them but placed them on hold because I was making so much progress all the sudden on other parts or the ship. But now I'm remodeling the back and the main hanger it was about time they got finished.

They are not yet named but I'll come up with some names ... eventually

    Ships:

The smallest one is a drone. The container looking things on the front of my ship were meant to be battle container filled with ships for easy release. But at the time ships had to be on the larger side in order to stand a change in combat, so they got downgraded to 'additional space'. Now the drone age seems to be right around the corner and with the changes to the system they finally became a viable option. 1 container shoud be able to hold about 18 drones. So in total the ship should have 108 drones in the containers alone.

The medium ships is the new fleet fighter. I hate building small ships as it is so hard for me to get proper detail on them, but I'm quite happy with how they turned out. In total now the ships should be able to carry 48 of them.

The larger one is more of an issue to get on the carrier (in docks at least), but it's at least space efficient. So far the ship can take 2 of those with it but I'm planning on installing at least 2 more docks somewhere on the ship.

Would love to show some of the work I did to the ship but I'm jumping all over the place. Now I'm just trying to finish the hull and the docks, detail can come later.

Very nice ships. You did a great job building the smaller fleet to match the main ship :)

Looks way too busy and cluttered. Too much in the way of details, and it's creating a bit of a sensory overload. I'm not even sure what to look at, because my eyes are being pulled everywhere. The techniques used are good, but the actual design, placement and quantity of details is poor.

I honestly don't know where you're trying to go with this. You might have not read previous posts but small detail is a hard thing for me and it's also not what I'm aiming for. The design of the stuctures/detail is something I put a lot of work in, so you calling them "poor" is almost in some way hurtfull. Yet you're very vague about it all, so I'm not even sure if this even counts a feedback.

Sensory overload? I would call it more a sensory stimulus. It's a ship that's build to draw your eyes all over the place. Each structure holds it's purpose for afar and when you look at it closely. It's not like some crystals placed in rows that look like rooms when you're far away but become meaningless when you take a closer look.

Your post starts pretty rude, then seems like it's about to give some actual feedback, but then just continues the first but even vaguer. And that in only 2 ish lines of text. The whole is just as empty as it is vague, you might aswell just have wrote "I don't like the ship".

Y U no let me act cool?
