Looks nice, but also like a lot of wasted missile range.
Don't blame him for building pretty, that's what SM needs -- not battle-cubes, they are easy to make.

Also: no wasted space if you attack something above you :p

It looks cool, so I really don't care about a couple hundred meters (and it's a secondary weapon anyways) :p. And it's not meant to only target stuff that's in front of the ship, I'm gaining if the target is located above.

NeonSturm I'm making the ship easy to refit.
like so, very easy to refill the ship with new systems.
I just use shields as a molding foam to shape the inside into more cubic shapes.

Posting your image link inside the spoiler title is the WORST IDEA EVAR.
I can't even select the text for copy+paste without hacking firebox (BTW firefox auto-corrects itself to fireBox).

Yea, CyberTao pointed it out to me on chat XD. It wasn't intentional.

500 million? Amazing, I cannot wait to see it finished

The ship that I am building (I call it The Conduit) was going to be the crown jewel of my fleet, but I was only going to put 200 million shields on it (I'm already halfway there), truly amazing though, again, I cannot wait to see it finished.

Are you aware that powersupply beams are currently bugged and consume too much power?

Really? Cause my ship didn't mind :P. I tested it, and it was supplying quite a lot of power. More than it would with just pure power blocks. Thanks for the heads up though, I'll be awaiting that fix.

Yep :D. It's a lot easier to take the reactors out of the ship and replace them.
I thought first, they were drones.

Your ship is CRAZY oversupplied keptick :D What the hell would need so much power?

But I would dig them a bit deeper and split the drone rack into 4-8 individual columns.
One missile hit at the rail dock and your done. (now as I know where to target :p)

You're refering to #1938? I thought the expected behaviour was a consumption of 1200+1500/s, should powersupply beams consume only 1500/s?

doesnt matter if the racks take a hit. docked entities can take up to half the damage of the main ships sheild before they die

That, and if it undocks the server also goes down in flames.

NeonSturm A ship that size needs this much power. There's four reactor racks in total, and that won't be enough to power the entire ship during active combat. There will also be normal power blocks on the ship (probably worth around 10 or 20 million e/sec). As for the drone they're located in an entirely different section of the ship :p. The reactors can't be slid out when the super turret is docked because it blocks the access hatch, so it's really just for maintenance (and the turret's body provides protection for the reactors).

However, I agree that the entire ship is totally overkill. But I can, so why not? >: D

Do you dock the turret to the reactors to avoid draining from the main ship?

After a bit of thinking... Using shield rechargers inside reactors may prove to be an advantage due to better use of dimensional bonus in bigger reactors.
And since shield is now shared, you could also put capacitors in-between.

Dunno, I didn't try out that much in that topic, but it's worth a try, or not?
