Spin Salvager

    Spin Salvager 2016-01-03

    This is an experimental ship. The front opens up into a long array of salvagers that can spin as they run. Interior is still incomplete. This is only my second ship that was mostly about trying out some complicated logic. All cargo is correctly pulled into the ships main storage.

    Ship has no weapon systems, 50k shields, 1.3k salvager beams

    the creativity of authors like yourself never ceases to impress me. the shorter barrels keeps things interesting with needing to get closer to the work.. even though i'm still not used to the flight model this just adds to the fun lol. i was trying to picture the ship with longer barrels, but i cant help think that such a thing would totally ruin the great aesthetic.. looks are important dude, thanks for sharing :D
    The lack of Jump-drive isn't an issue, since anyone competent will have their base "near-ish" to an asteroid belt, but the shuttle lacking a jump-drive is a bit of a loss. [if it gets attacked, it's gone cause it can't jump away]
    the absurdly tiny size of said shuttle though, means it being lost isn't an issue at all.

    The bigger hit is those short-barrel mining beams. While I usually have all the time in the world to mine, doing the mining is as boring as usual.

    If those were longer barrel beams, at least the mining would get done much quicker.

    I love the look of the ship though.
    Its a neat ship, lacks jump capability so sublight to mining sites only. The salvage tubes are short, would work well for a server with a large mining boost, mines slow on a vanilla server. Shuttle lacks jump as well. Also needs a radar jammer.
