After a bit of testing Bench's version of the module, i came to the conclusion that his version did not work.

Changes:
1. module is smaller.
2. no longer relies on a delay to reset the flip flops if an is detected to be stuck (though you still must use the entity detection from the next rail over to reset the current one).
