Osuske LRB. The Osuske is a Long Range Bombardment vessel also called a Sniper ship. Intended to be one asset in a larger carrier group. The focus of the ship’s design is to disable hostiles from a great distance and allow for easy boarding. The ship can also serve as a lander for several Marine squads.
It features a designed inspired by arthropods utilizing multi-segment armor and layered defenses for an ‘alien’ aesthetic. The unusual coloring and markings add to that effect with varying success. Tho laking the traditionall 'all over' wedging 5 areas of the ship do feature wedges. The internal spaces, the pipes between the external engine parts, the jumpdrive vents (which are also illuminated), several grouping of external spiny bits, and the 'eye stalk' centered between the 4 missile pods.
The interiors are dimly lit to provide atmosphere. Four anti missile turrets cap the ends of each missile pod. There is just enough power to fire every pod and still move freely IF auxiliary power is enabled. The missile pods and engines are arranged in a way that removed them from the bulkier trunk of the ship making it appear slightly brittle. The power systems are housed in the main ship itself but are spaced in such a way that if the auxiliary power fails the damage is limited to a confined area. A lesson learned from the Scultone Class Carrier's over dependence on aux power.
I intentionally left the thrusters uncovered for the plume effect. The idea was to make the ship look light weight for its bulk yet had powerful thrust. The engine parts are divided up for the same reason. It would make most people question how such tiny engines can move something so much bigger.
It's contradictory and unintuitive. It looks wrong.
That was the point :3
