Orion Co was in need of a dedicated artillery class ship, and as such the Angelfire Artillery was born. Early designs of a dedicated artillery where simple and militaristic, but were non-threatening due to their standardised silhouette. Later designs focused on turning the artillery cannon into something more recognisable - wings. This transformed the dull and block-like ideas of an artillery into a grandiose bird.
Though it can be operated by a single pilot, the recommended minimum crew is 3 (one for each cannon, one to pilot the ship). The Angelfire Artillery is at it's peak, however, with 6 crew (2 more for the spotters and 1 for the dumbfire rockets). The vessel is not armed for any self defense, so it is highly important to have a corvette or fighter squadron escort, or use it as a support ship in a fleet.
