The MK VI Torpedo and Launcher System
This system comes with 3 torpedoes pre-loaded.
These guys are AI guided, and have fully over-drive engines for max speed.
Each torpedo is made up of 5 entities that act like a spring to impale it's target with 8 warheads. Four entities have 220 shields for a total of 880 shields for the warheads plus full ion protection.
Here's a sample off the kind of damage a single torpedo can do:
This was done to a solid block of shield/system blocks (5 million shield target) The picture represents the number of blocks destroyed.
It is also super easy to reload the launcher. Just fly the new torpedo towards the pickup point and it will be automatically loaded into the next firing slot.
But before load new torpedoes into your launcher, make sure your turn the safety on:
Left: Safety On
Right: Safety Off
Oh, I almost forgot. Make sure you enter the core of the torpedoes and turn on Ion, and Over-Drive before you launch them. That is if you want to. The torpedoes will work either way.
What's the difference from the Mk V?
1) Over Drive: faster torpedo
2) Warhead has 880 shields with full 60% Ion and an Armored Nose
3) Reusable: The MK V fell apart on impact. The Mk VI doesn't
4) It will repeatedly impale the target with warheads. For some reason the warheads don't get destroyed when used, so the torpedo strikes multiple times. (probably a bug)
5) the Mk V is 20 meters, the Mk VI is 15 meters.
6) the Mk V has 10 warheads, the Mk VI has 8
