This is the Manticore-class frigate of the Ultima fleet. This was built to be a general anti-ship vessel.
When the Ultima first began to accept mortal races into it's number, it needed ships that they would be able to use. The Manticore-class was one of the first vessels designed for them, and was deployed in large numbers while larger and more powerful ships were created. Currently, the Manticore frigates are still in use for light patrol work, and as escorts for larger ships.
Main armaments:
-Anti ship lasers, piercing
-Anti ship lockon missiles, explosive
Turrets:
-5x anti fighter rotary cannons, overdrive
Features:
-full interior with bridge, galley, medbay, 6 living quarters, bathroom, engine room, weapons' energy supply room (located in the front on the lower deck), storage room, and a small bay to hold the light land-rover. -interior access to the underside of four of the five turrets, making it easy to access the faction and AI modules.
Extra note:
In the pictures, you will notice two emblems on the sides of the ship. The blue flag towards the back is the faction emblem, while the black flag towards the front is the fleet admiral's emblem. The purpose of this is to have an easy way to change the faction of a ships without having to recolor the entire ship, or fit a logo on a random, empty piece of hull. The fleet admiral flag allows and easy way to keep track of which ships belongs to whom at a quick glance. In the provided file, I removed both of my flags, allowing you to hang your own flag.
