A variant of the Assault Cruiser intended to transport troops.
Throughout the history of armed conflict there has been one constant, to control territory, soldiers must occupy it. Previously the Liberty Navy would have to use Armored Transports as auxiliaries, ferrying troops and supplies to various worlds already under Liberty control.
Ships intended to transport a single squad one or two systems are not suitable for inter-house conflict nor rapid expansion and colonization efforts. Liners could be converted to transports and hospital ships, but are limited in number, exorbitant in cost, and incapable of supporting a landing operation.
Thus the Liberty Navy began producing heavily modified Assault Cruiser hulls. The modified hull has berthing for a company of troops, medical facilities, and the ability to carry landing ships and support their continued operation.
