It is now classed as a 'Heavy Fighter' Rather than a Corvette. This is to make it more competitive with other ships of that class.
The Paris class was originally classed as a light Corvette, at the time of construction it was extremely fast, had great firepower and an almost tank-like appearance.
But recent updates mean that more blocks are required for ships to operate, shield recharge modules are essential and weapon modifiers are important for the huge cannons mounted on the ship.
You can download the modernized Paris from the updates tab, but the details of the original are on this page.
The ship also features a salvage cannon for picking up anything valuable you find when exploring and a docking spot on the top of the ship for carrying a fighter or other small craft. Now for some stats...
Paris:
Cost: 6,300,000 approx.
Blocks: 6400
Length:68
Width:35
Height:11
Power:708426 (37555e/sec)
shields: 261855
weapons: 2 medium antimatter cannons (2960 combined DPS), 1 central salvage cannon
Docks: Docking space for light fighter on top of ship, Paris type B features 2 light turrets on bow.
The Paris B type is an experimental version with 2 light turrets on the guns at the front of the ship. This was an attempt to curb the ship's vulnerability to groups of fighters and enemy turrets. The result is much slower and uglier and still requires some work.
