    Gnat-R Planet-Hopper Mk_1.0

This is my first ever upload of a ship I've built!

The Gnat is a single-seat Drone-sized ship primarily built for light combat. Retrofitted for leisure rather than battle, this R version boasts increased engine performance. With a Thrust:Mass ratio of 3.1:1, the Gnat-R made a splash on the recent Intergalactic Space Race circuit.

    Tech-Specs:
    ------------------------------------------

Power Plant: 9-Cell High-Output Reactor (50k, 1121.9/sec; Completely stable even with Overdrive activated)
Shielding: Distributed Anti-debris Protection Region (DAPR) (163, 11/sec)
Propulsion System: 6 Port Main Exhaust with Triple Thrust Vectoring systems on winglets (80 Thrust, 28 blocks)
Auxiliary Systems: After-Burners increase speed by 100% (Overdrive, 100% efficiency, 26 Blocks)
    Production Cost: 277499
Optional Paint Jobs: Race Green, Alpha Yellow, Spectral Silver, Deep Blue
    ------------------------------------------

    4-th wall commentary:
This was a really eye-opening build! it's been a while since I've played StarMade (Almost a year!) and it has been an absolute pleasure getting back into the groove of designing, building and refining a ship! This particular ship is not what i wanted going in, but once I realized what i was actually building, well, I think I can say I'm very satisfied with the result.

More ships will be coming soon, depending on the sorts of response i get from this first upload. Farewell for now dear readers!

My god she is fast! I had a blast piloting her, Thanks for that and welcome back to one of the best games still being created.

Normally though i would knock off a star for having the core exposed but since she wont be seeing any combat I cant really do that, now can I :) But there are some things you can do. I have oriented wedges and other blocks in such a way as to mostly obscure the opening but still give you access to the core. Besides, if you do see any pie rats, kick in the overdrive and they're space dust.

Excellent first release, keep em coming.

Thank you very much! I had some blast doors on the bottom, but they were getting in the way of the landing / maintenance rack I constructed for the photo shoot. And as you said, this isn't a combat oriented ship, usually i set the core in the very center of my builds.
