Though technically my second submission, this is the first exclusively purpose built for this competition. I had originally believed everyone would go for war fleets with big guns, or big salvagers. I tried to think about what would be different from other player submissions and I determined that 'support ships' would fit the bill.
These are not designed to be a fleet in their own right, rather provide backup for proper warfleets as escort or picket or service ships. In fact with current AI limitations, some of the ships not great to have around in combat... The tug and hospital ship tend to close to pointblank range, then take damage from the rest of your own ships.
From Left to Right:
Stobart Class Tug: With two Tractor Turrets designed to haul damaged ships or asteroids to new destinations.
Laconia Class Troop Transport: Using a multi-mission-frame corvette hull, this ship features two cryo bays in which troops can travel.
Bagger Class Mining Corvette: With the same Corvette core, the Bagger includes two additional salvage turrets, and can collect from three asteroids at once.
Teresa Class Hospital Ship: Though effectively unarmed, the Teresa Class Hospital ship includes science labs, quarantine bays and hospital wards.
Starburst Class AMS Escort Ship: With 16 AMS turrets the Starburst provides excellent defence for fleets, protecting against incoming missile barrages. Moderate forward weaponry allows for effective attack on small ships.
