My goal with this ship was to make the smallest fighter I possibly could and still give it bite. A secondary goal was to make it look half way decent. I think I succeeded on both fronts.
This ship is 100 mass only and has a four to one thrust ratio. If only the AI flew evasively, this fighter would be nearly impossible to hit. As it is, it is no slouch for such a small ship, packing 9000 shields and three anti-missile turrets. For offense, it has two dumbfire ion missiles firing every second to help knock down shields, but it's main gun is a beam/cannon/overdrive system that will penetrate armor sufficiently to kill ten to fifteen system blocks every second, even without breaking the surface armor, assuming shields are down of course.
