This is the update for those of you that think it is impossible to Have auto assembling shipyards. Enjoy!!!! Just hop into Build mode on the station. Undock the Smaller shipyard ship and let it run until you know that it will get to the end of its rail before the second ship core does. at that point undock the second ship and watch as it hits the end of its rail. Presto you have the makings of a great turret there. All you need to do is add another small shipyard to upgrade to the final piece to the basic turret.
PS all undocking should be done from build mode in the shipyard comp.
