The Battle Gunship is a heavily armed fighter capable of dealing very heavy damage... depending on your definition of "very heavy damage."
It comes equipped with 4 Shield Shredder cannons that can't deal block damage but (as the name suggests) do quite a lot of shield damage, and a quad-bay lock-on missile that deals a whole crapton of damage and utterly demolishes unshielded targets. The two turrets have been given the punch-through effect to help deal block damage while the missiles are reloading.
There's also a built-in Ion defense system, but it's highly inefficient and requires a lot of power to function.
