Aluminum Mallard Mk1 Ultralight Freighter 2.1

This is a blocky version of the originaly Aluminum Mallard spaceship from the Space Quest series of Adventure games, as seen in SQ 3 and 4.



At a low, low price of 95700 144,200 buckazoids, this ultralight freighter will get you and your cargo where you need to go with a thrust of 32.7, a power supply of 52000 with a recharge rate of 2372.6 e/s., and a top speed of approximately 60 km/h thrust/mass ratio exceeding 2 providing a top speed of 75 km/h, a power supply of over 54k, and with a recharge rate of nearly 1900 e/s. [Ed. Must be a typo from the boys in engineering. Johnson, get the right maximum velocity and remove this note from the final copy.]

Shield rating: 476 855 (just barely enough for warding off those pesky pestulons) with a recharge rating of 33 22 s/s

Two blaster cannons in the forward arc, left and right of the cockpit, 5 9 cannon blocks each.



Here's a new feature on today's model: a first generation single-block mining laser in the ventral landing strut, just aft of the main ventral cargo ramp.

Responsible use of the gravity generator is recommended.
If you need to sit down in the craft without bringing chairs onboard, indian-style seating is recommended for limited periods, separated by a short jog around the cargo bay.

(Seriously, this is probably one of the tiniest, cheapest, least-capable ships you'll see with an actual internal cabin, and would be a fun "starter" ship to build up from as a challenging game to go from rags to riches. Much respect to those who have played Space Quest 3, and know the origins of this fun little ship.)
