This is a blocky version of the originaly Aluminum Mallard spaceship from the Space Quest series of Adventure games, as seen in SQ 3 and 4.
At a low, low price of95700 144,200 buckazoids, this ultralight freighter will get you and your cargo where you need to go with a thrust of 32.7, a power supply of 52000 with a recharge rate of 2372.6 e/s., and a top speed of approximately 60 km/h thrust/mass ratio exceeding 2 providing a top speed of 75 km/h, a power supply of over 54k, and with a recharge rate of nearly 1900 e/s. [Ed. Must be a typo from the boys in engineering. Johnson, get the right maximum velocity and remove this note from the final copy.]
Safety features:
Shield rating:476 855 (just barely enough for warding off those pesky pestulons) with a recharge rating of 33 22 s/s
Two blaster cannons in the forward arc, left and right of the cockpit,5 9 cannon blocks each.
Here's a new feature on today's model: a first generationsingle-block mining laser in the ventral landing strut, just aft of the main ventral cargo ramp.
Thrust: 32.7, Turning rates: X: 2.6 Y: 4.1 Z: 2.3
Thrust: 111.5
Turning rates:
X: 3.5, Y: 3.8, Z: 2.3
Backup power generator in the main cabin.
Gravity Generator in the main cabin.
Safety lighting.
System status readout terminal (Astrorepair computer but no Astrorepair beam connected.)
Forward enhanced reality camera connected to the navigation computer.
Dorsal entry hatch, Dorsal Warp Motivator Access Hatch, Internal Bay entry hatch for Warp Motivator and Ship Core access and maintenance. No side doors.
Due to unfortunate tendencies of space captains, no inflatable escape chutes are included in case of water landings on board the ship. (Suggestion: Keep Water Wings, also known as "floaties" handy in case of water landings.)
Additional Features:
Mass:38 54.5
Length: 18 m, Height:7 6/8 m, width: 15 m
Other Basic features:
Blocks:380 545 (including the ramp elevator, landing gear, and engine pods)
Thrust PowerCons:10 41
R/C:6/8 4/6
R/C PowerCons:33 22
Safety Disclaimer:
Warp Motivator for Hyperspace travelnot included.
Humans, Xenons, Labions, and other ordinary humanoids should avoid any attempt to manually lift the super-dense bulk of a Warp Motivator.
Pilot chair not included. The cargo bay has room for two or three passenger chairs, but chairs not included.
Spare cabling not included.
Running/Beacon lights not included.
Super-smooth meteoroid deflection coating not included in base cost, but is available as an option.
Responsible use of the gravity generator is recommended.
If you need to sit down in the craft without bringing chairs onboard, indian-style seating is recommended for limited periods, separated by a short jog around the cargo bay.
(Seriously, this is probably one of the tiniest, cheapest, least-capable ships you'll see with an actual internal cabin, and would be a fun "starter" ship to build up from as a challenging game to go from rags to riches. Much respect to those who have played Space Quest 3, and know the origins of this fun little ship.)
