    It is just not really worth the effort.
    This is a brilliant concept, and built to exquisite standards. I expect that this may well 'someday' be the way to build PD turrets. Sadly this is hampered by a few things right now. One is the potential lag induced on multi-player servers by the collision detection that would be imposed by turrets such as these. The other is the sad fact that in my own testing of this build, the other bobbies were not firing their weapon, despite apparently being active. Five stars for design excellence though. Maybe this is a current bug?

    Yeah I've noticed some of the issues on my titan build during swarm missile defence testing. I would now recommend this turret for smaller ships in less laggy environments. Its possible under high lag that the turret over rotates past the target and then back before the AI can fire. Constantly over rotating means it never fires as its never pointing in the direction of the missile long enough for the AI to detect and fire. Its not a problem on small ships though. I am working on different version for my titan build.
    I haven't tried this yet, but the idea gets 5/5, and if it really does work it will get 123/5. and i hope you don,t mind, but i am going to use this in some of my own turret designs.

    Its a proof of concept design for a previous forum post. Hopefully the idea will help people with their point defence against missile spam.
