2H-RF-9 "Emerald Green" Midrange Experimental Frigate

2H-RF-9 "Emerald Green" Midrange Experimental Frigate R1BP1

    - TRANSMISSION START -
    LORE:
The Emerald Green is an experimental vessel, using some reverse-engineered technology from the still-mysterious Epoch Shuttle. It is designed to fill the gap between a small frigate and a capital ship. Nonetheless, it brings some pretty impressive systems to the table: Rapid-fire overdriven missile launchers, rapid-fire high-explosive cannons, a powerful scanning system, decent shield boosters, heavy armor, great shielding and a TMR of 1.93.
While these numerous and powerful systems produce a impressive power draw, a large reactor combined with equally large capacitor banks mean that you'll be able to operate with all systems active for a good amount to time, and even when completely depleted, power should recharge in seconds.
The Emerald Green is far from comfortable - in fact, it is cramped and claustrophobic. Hence it is rarely used for exploration or long duration missions, but rather it generally operates near to starbases or larger craft.

    AUTHOR'S NOTE:
This style of ship really is a bit of an experiment for me, using a lot of the build helper tool to get smooth shapes. Nonetheless, I am pretty satisfied with the result.
In addition, this is my first build with actual turrets. In this case, it's just one, but that's one more than usual, right?

    TIP:
The largest draw on the power systems is the engines - after all, getting a TMR of almost 2 on a ship covered in advanced armor isn't without its drawbacks. If you're running low on power, stop moving for a second or two and your power levels should be back at 100%.

Looks good. Next time you take pics of a dark ship get near a star and use it to light the ship.

In fact, keeping the ambient lighting low was something I was going for on the pictures. What I really want this build to continually show is that it is very dark (externally) as that shows the contrast between the sharp green lights and the black armor.
