Note: This is an experimental vessel, built for me to explore new aesthetic and/or performance styles. Use at your own risk.
LORE:
The Proxima is a high-powered light frigate designed to quickly strike at small-craft fleets from safe range. Its main strength comes from its powerful weapons array, delivering punishing amounts of firepower from its small frame. This comes at a bit of a hit to its defensive abilities, as its shields are rather weak for a ship of its size. This deficiency is partially offset by its heavy, multilayered armor plating. This proves effective at repelling small amounts of damage from multiple directions, reinforcing the role of the Proxima as an anti-fighter vessel.
AUTHOR'S NOTE:
While I certainly consider this an aesthetic and performance experiment, I built it partly for use by my faction of the Minimade server.
