I stopped playing this game for awhile, Stopped around when they did the new turret system. I am having a hard time finding capital type ships. The two I remember most was the HeldTech ones the Briggader and Damocles. Most of the ships i found seem half complete like the Venatorstardestroyer. Or ones that seem to have bad weapons or no ships within the ship like Sigmund_Jaehn. Did some kind of update not allow for ships like the old ones or has no one tried to update any of them or make new ones? Does anyone know of any good ships? weather they are huge capital ships like the heldtech ones or slightly smaller.

The changes are insane. The "good" ships people haven't done a refit on simply because of the amount of work it would take to refit every patch. Check the Community Content section for said ships. When you mention capital ships, are you talking proper capital ships or just "big" ships?

There are plenty of "good" ships. Check out ones like the "Burning Amber".

Some people publish ships so others can finish them to their liking, or publish them so people can see a work in progress but forget to update them.

    But there are good ships.

I would like actual capital ships, not just big ships and I have checked the community content but the two I listed were the best I could find there.

Several things are contributing to that. At the moment the community is being flooded with mid-range ships. Capital ships can take 2+ months (assuming it's not a giant box). In the past few months the changes to starmade have made ships obsolete. Most of your capital ship construction is done by a select few builders. The issue then is not where are the ships but rather the big names in building are doing other things. Saber is now a member of the dev team, this is a great example of things changing. Several other big names are now helping refit and build the new NPC stations that will be common place in the game. All in all, someone else needs to step up to the plate in capital ship construction but that's asking a lot considering the time it takes. As I have seen, most builders are hovering around Battleships and Carriers for ease of refit.

PS: Look how long it's taking Skylord and the dude's a beast.

Yeah, also the ships you mention are not as "big" as you think. When build, they were considered quite big but since optimizations to the game, big got bigger. Since then there has been many excellent big ships build, and I could name a few if you want, but updates are fast and furious lately thus most are sticking to a more sensible scale to grasp with changes can update on the fly.

ok that explains alot. Like I said I have missed out on alot of the updates so this game seemed like it was a completely new game. I thought all that had to be done was swapping out the old docking systems with these rails.

A lot of people build for factions, and simply don't upload capital ships.
But I can assure you, their are more than their ever have been in the game, and the number grows each month.

You are talking about a day and age that had just one or two block shapes (instead of five), no rails, and a buy-by-credit default system that made ships virtually free to use in factional warfare. Since then, most work on the starmade core has been completed, so the updates that change balance and add building options have become much more frequent and ships must be able to be refit once in a while and the standard for detail and turrets (rails!) has risen by alot.

There are still "big" ships out there and more or less recent ones, too. The heldtech ships were the status quo of their time, but this is no longer the case for quite a while now as too much has happened. It is a bit of an insult to our builders to assume noone has ever reached that point since then.

not to mention,Heldtech Damocles was only 850m long, and only 2.5 million blocks..
In the same time Heldtech existed,my Spirit of fire existed and it was the same size
Now my infinity is 1100m and 6,5million blocks, and several of my other ships are bigger than heldtech.
And a lot of other community ships out there can dwarf Damocles!
