We don't have enough super technical terms for our engineering setups yet. We have the dictionary thread already, so let's take it a step further and cross into crazy enthusiast territory. The more technical sounding while technically accurate it is, the better. Feel free to include spoilered images. \o/

    I'll start.

Tonight, I managed to eat three R150s with my 25000s:25000c 5x500 dual rack 0.4m/s salvager. A real workhorse, that one.

A few days ago, I created a 19x13X12, phased maligned multi-cluster atomic regeneration array by linking severel conditional looping ciructs through a multibus to a delay chain, which in turn activated a multistaged 2d traveling Cartesian grid to cover all fulcrums and apexes of any irregular solid. In particular, I used a pylon-clipped regular Isanith as a pre-degraded targeting body.

That was the best reply on these forums I have ever seen.

    Yesterday,
    • I made a high-tech "Fat-Puddle-Jumper_With-Rail-Pods_v0-8-r2", which can expand and collapse side-pods asynchronous or synchronous.
    • It has a inter-dimensional jump-drive with 100% efficiency to instantaneously travel across half average-sized solar-systems.
    • Of-course it has enough gravimetric-volume infinite-energy reactors to supply it's perma-radar-jammer while recovering from a system-scan with the high-grade sensor-array.
    • Even charging the inter-dimensional jump-drive capacitors with an active radar-jammer is possible, if not while recovering from a system-scan.

This ship is equipped with 40 141x9x9 docked reactors each with logic activated alternating power supplies. Each reactors has a 1mil e/sec regen, supplying 700-800k e/sec to the ship for a grand total of ~20 mil e/sec. Undocking them cause universal space-time collapse.

This, is my turret. It fires custom generated 0.83 million damage anti-matter projectiles at 72 rounds per minute. It takes 200 million power to fire this turret for 20 seconds.

"Battlegroup Alpha FC, this is NFD actual. We just scanned our system and there are hostile warships closing on our Z+ in sector twelve, twelve, thirty. I'm rerouting battlegroup Bravo to intercept on next jump, I'm tasking you with assaulting the enemy HB and keeping an eye out for any more warships departing the system. Thryn high command has dispatched a pair of million-mass ships to engage an enemy battlegroup at sector fifty, thirty, twelve. Once you've cleaned the enemy HB sector I want you to dispatch two light cruisers to engage the remnants of the battlegroup the Thryn forces are engaging...Standby... Intel reports potential titan around the enemy HB, possibly their FC. I'm retasking you to engage the enemy fleet and assist the Thryn battlegroup. Afterwards, you'll go with them to the enemy HB and engage the titan. Be warned, we've got word of a potential restart in T- 10, so wrap up quick. Your shields drop, warp out and perform field repairs."

"NFD actual, this is battlegroup Bravo, acting FC. We've lost our escort carrier, and are returning to base. ETA ten seconds. Reporting three enemy ships neutralized, two allied ships destroyed. No BPs obtainable. Please advise on the location of battlegroup Alpha, we may need an escort."

"NFD forces, this is Thryn actual. We've destroyed an enemy titan and routed the remaining ships. Your escort carrier was damaged in the fighting, and is conducting field repairs. Advise having them RTB for proper repairs."

"This is scout frigate Rockhopper, FFG-110H breaking radio silence. We've got nav confirmation of three enemy titans in sector...Agh, lag!"

"Rockhopper, do you copy? Rockhopper?! Attention all coalition forces, this is NFD actual. Be advised, there is an enemy battlegroup consisting of three titan class vessels inbound. Prepare for contact, rally at Athens base."

Okay so maybe this isn't *quite* true, but I see it happening eventually. The game's going to get there soon.

My turret naming system is pretty technical already. It will be perfectly suitable for the new docking system, because it contains all the information you need to know (systems and mass) - note that dimensions will not be important with the new docking. Examples:

    Cc-20 = cannon/cannon turret with 20 mass (likely a PDT)
CbPcI-1500 = Two cannon/beam setups, one with piercing, one with explosive, at 1500 total mass (one of my medium siege turrets)
    MbE-325 = my missile/beam/explosive turret at 325 mass
    Mb-125d = A missile/beam drone (->d) at 125 mass

Possible primary and secondary systems are C,B,M,P and c,b,m,p.
Possible effects are E,O,Pc,Pt,I,S,Ps,Pl and so forth.
Possible suffixes are d (drone) and s (specialist construct)

Only drones and turrets are named this way. Real ships are considered too complex chaining all their systems into the name. Mass count includes decorative hull and design, which is mandatory.
