After looking back at my first version of the SR1, I realized that it simply wasn't at the same level as the kind of ships I can make now, so I decided to re-do it from scratch.
And frankly, I'm quite glad I did.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the brand new iteration of the Normandy SR1 in StarMade! (Notice how it actually says 'Normandy' this time? :D )
Coming in at 230 blocks long, it is definitely larger than my last version, but with this greater size comes greater detail and power. Take a look!
This version has a 2:1 thrust-mass ration, and a relatively quick-charging jumpdrive. For weapons, it uses two rapid-fire AMCs, two long range beam weapons, and a lock-on missile. It also comes equipped with a radarjammer.
The two main reasons I wanted to remake this ship were to, 1. make a more accurate and good-looking hull, and 2. make a much more detailed interior (nothing but advanced armor gets old after a while...).
And yes, that is a flyable Mako sitting in the hangar...
Hope you all enjoy flying in it as much as I enjoyed building it!
