Okay, so I'm fairly new to StarMade, but even tough I only made one ship so far, I can't resist the temptation to jump right on the big ones (at least my Minecraft experience should help). I was planning not to post anything until it was completed, but seeing some other posts in this section, I wouldn't say "no" to some feedback and maybe suggestions. So here it goes.

I am trying to recreate the StarCraft Battle Cruiser, most specifically Hyperion (even tough I had to get some parts from the normal one, like the command tower). If you want to see the images I'm looking at, google (in Images) "starcraft hyperion".

    Progress Images: http://imageshack.us/g/1/10227926/

    Current-State Images: http://imgur.com/a/7CZfx#0

    Basic info:

    Role: Heavy Battle Cruiser

Class: Titan (Nameless); Calbiri (Blitzwing); Prince (Calbirian Complexity Scale - 14.2 Mb)

    Length: 808m

    Width: 296m

    Height: 98m

    Mass: 217,648.0

    Thrust: 168,326.8

    Power: 475,598,754.7 (9,095,875.0 e/sec)

    Shields: 3,323,073.0 (38,959.0 s/sec) [5.0 sec Recovery]

    Firepower:

Both wings (the tip of them) have 6 very big Antimatter Cannons. Each one has:

    -Damage: 25% = 787.5

    -Distance: 25% = 1,535.2

    -Reload: 25% = 68.8

    -Speed: 25% = 93.8

    DPS Per Cannon: 11,446.2

    Total DPS: 137,354.6

Also, both wings have a huge d1000 missile - a.k.a. a Tactical Nuke. The only way to fire it with precision is looking through the wing cockpit, but it is worth it.

    -Damage: 20% = 672.9

    -Distance: 20% = 255.7

    -Reload: 20% = 7.4

    -Speed: 20% = 6.9

    -Radius: 20% = 43.3

Under the command bridge, there is an array of 10 relatively small SD-KB (heat-seeking) missiles, and an equal one of SD-BB (tracking) missiles. They work as kind of a "swarm" missiles.

    Both SD-KBs and SD-BBs:

    -Damage: 20% = 229.2

    -Distance: 20% = 87.1

    -Reload: 20% = 21.8

    -Speed: 20% = 2.5

    -Radius: 20% = 16.8

On each wing there is an array of d1000 missile pods, all linked in the same computer, 68 in total. Each one has:

    -Damage: 20% = 374.6

    -Distance: 20% = 142.3

    -Reload: 20% = 13.3

    -Speed: 20% = 3.9

    -Radius: 20% = 25.5

On the middle of the ship, going all the way to the front, is the Yamato Cannon. It is a circular array of AMC "rods" that I estimate to have ~600 blocks each.

    Each rod:

    -Damage: 25% = 635.0

    -Distance: 25% = 1294.0

    -Reload: 25% = 77.4

    -Speed: 25% = 78.5

    DPS/rod: 8,187

    #of rods: 255

    Total DPS: 2,087,709.8

    Turrets:

    46x Light Turret:

    Length: 26m

    Width: 12m

    Height: 8m

    Mass: 115.7

    Power: 20,000.0 (1,052.8 e/sec)

    Shields: 20,277.0 (991 s/sec) [0.5 sec Recovery]

    2x AMC Cannon:

=>Each cannon is made of 4x AMC Array. Stats for each array:

    -Damage: 25% = 151.8

    -Distance: 25% = 530.0

    -Reload: 25% = 299.2

    -Speed: 25% = 30.2

    DPS/array: 507.3

    DPS/cannon: 2,029.4

    Total DPS: 4,058.8

    4x Heavy Turret:

    Length: 50m

    Width: 30m

    Height: 18m

    Mass: 753.6

    Thrust: 67.1

    Power: 31,538.9

    Shields: 58,219.0 (2118 s/sec) [1.0 sec Recovery]

    1x Heavy AMC Cannon:

    -Damage: 25% = 1,305.5

    -Distance: 25% = 2,354.2

    -Reload: 25% = 57.7

    -Speed: 25% = 145.5

    Total AMC DPS: 24,529

    2x SD-KB Missile:

    -Damage: 20% = 266.1

    -Distance: 20% = 100.4

    -Reload: 20% = 18.9

    -Speed: 20% = 2.8

    -Radius: 20% = 18.9

    1x Railgun Turret:

    Length: 135m

    Width: 24m

    Height: 20m

    Mass: 1912.1

    Thrust: 504.8

    Power: 28,578.9 (83,147.0 e/sec)

    Shields: 97,228.0 (3,064 s/sec) [2.0 sec Recovery]

    1x AMC Railgun:

=>The Railgun is made of 5x AMC Array. Stats for each array:

    -Damage: 25% = 928.8

    -Distance: 25% = 1,758.6

    -Reload: 25% = 64.0

    -Speed: 25% = 107.9

    DPS/array: 14,512.5

    Total DPS: 72,562.5

    Armor & Cockpits

Notice that the hull is five layers of hardened hull. This apllies to almost the entire ship (some exceptions here and there), so even if the enemy bypass the shields (wich are a lot and recover nearly instantly, probably even more in the future!) he/she will have a hard time going through that. And there are lots of cockpits in it, so even tough it may take some time to find the right one, it allows for more precision on certain weapons (like the Nukes) and it will be harder for the enemy to blind you by destroying the cockpits.

    ====Original Post=======

    Decorative Areas:

Since the ship would be somewhat empty if it was just pure "ship" (did that make a any sense?), there are some things that are there for nothing but decoration. There is the wall surrounding the core (because after all, isn't it the CORE of the ship?), some computer rooms (so the crew can play StarMade :P)(note that I pretend that objects with a glass on top are computers, the glass is the screen), the Control Room (with the weapons computers and etc) and the two-level Command Tower.

    Planned:

Since this is still WIP, most parts of the ship are still being built. I will add lots of hangars for various sizes of ships, including some designed for other ships of other roles I will design during the process (like bomber, fighter, salvager, repair ship, etc), some more missiles (big SD-KBs and BBs this time) and cannons, both more in the front of the ship. And, of course, the goddamn Yamato cannon, the symbol of the SC Battlecruiser, won't be missing! It will be just HUGE, going hundreds of blocks long and a lot thick, and I will take out everything from Reload (except for 5% so it doesn't get too slow) and put it into Damage. Let's see if something can withstand a shot from it once it is completed. Muahahaha! And I'm also going to make some more stuff for decoration, like a show-off reactor (the main ones are spread through the ship, you can see the one I'm currently building on one of the images) and some living quarters.

So, what do you guys think of the ship so far?

    A bit of explanation plz?

I may be failing to see what is right under my nose, but I can\'t grasp the main idea here .-.

    Sorry for that \"^.^

Okay, here goes a small update for some stuff I have done.

First, I wasn\'t satisfied with how the big turret looked (it was a bit derpy), so I remodeled most of it and gave it a more of a railgun-like appearance (I plan to add a real railgun somewhere). Now the main cannon is mostly a combination of a missile launcher with a machine gun. I\'m not kidding. And it still have the missiles, plus two support cannons.

    Main Railgun:

    -Damage: 45% = 1751.6

    -Distance: 25% = 2354.2

    -Reload: 5% = 81.8

    -Speed: 25% = 145.5

    Support Cannons:

    -Damage: 25% = 207.1

    -Distance: 25% = 617.4

    -Reload: 25% = 217.6

    -Speed: 25% = 35.7

    Missiles:

    -Damage: 20% = 266.1

    -Distance: 20% = 100.4

    -Reload: 20% = 18.9

    -Speed: 20% = 2.8

    -Radius: 20% = 18.9

Secondly, I was looking at some other ships around here, and I noticed the Ice Crystal has the most perfect color for the outside details. So now I substituted all the blue lamps on the outside of the ship with the crystals, and it is just perfect.

Since every ship needs to get power from somewere, and \"the generator is hidden\" is a boring excuse, I built a Power Core room wich I think turned out pretty cool. And a Shield Generator room as well, just for fun.

    Power Core:

    Shield Generator:

Lastly, I also tweaked out the weaponry a bit. I hollowed the wings a bit (it was just pure hull before) and used the extra space to make the Nukes and the cannons stronger (even tough I just can\'t make the nukes go much over 700 damage, I don\'t know why), and added an array of d1000s on each wing (34 in each wing to be exact, all on the same computer). So now, if you are in combat with another capital ship and you manage to take its shields off, a click will make your enemy face a mighty barrage of missiles, and it reloads pretty fast. Interesting enough, each pod in the array has more than half the damage of the nukes, even tough the Ns have 30% damage instead of 20%, and both nukes have more missile array blocks than all the pods in the Array combined. Oh well, I\'ll have to live with it.

New weapon stats: (note that these values actually vary within the array of weapons [in case of the nukes by reasons I can\'t explain], but it is only by a little, so here I\'m putting the most common.

    Cannons (x6):

    -Damage: 45% = 1023.9

    -Distance: 25% = 1496.6

    -Reload: 5% = 128.5

    -Speed: 25% = 91.3

    Nukes:

    -Damage: 30% = 702.1

    -Distance: 20% = 255.7

    -Reload: 5% = 8.7

    -Speed: 5% = 5.9

    -Radius: 40% = 46.4

Missile Pods in the Bomb Array:

    -Damage: 20% = 374.6

    -Distance: 20% = 142.3

    -Reload: 20% = 13.3

    -Speed: 20% = 3.9

    -Radius: 20% = 25.5

Just as extra information, I finished the generator I was building in the initial screenshots (made it longer than it was there), and I sincerely didn\'t expect such good results. Right now my power is at 12,200,638.0 (3,354,950.0 e/sec), and I doubt that generator room makes much of a difference.

Note that I will post very few pictures in here. There will be more in the ImageShack album I linked in the first post.

Really quick update here. Basically, I am building some ships of other roles (so I have an size idea for the hangars), and these are the first two, both from Starcraft: the Wraith and the Banshee.

They doesn\'t look all that good, but I am trying to be as space-efficient as I can here. The Wraith have 3 small AM cannons and two guided missiles. The Banshee have two guided missiles and a dumb-fire. Both have some shields, and, of course, cloakers and jammers. I\'m probably going to have a Banshee hangar here, but I am not sure about the Wraith. You know, the shape of it isn\'t exactly space-saving.

A bit of help wouldn\'t be bad to be honest, but it would take some work to get it out of Sandbox into a server, and sincerely, I spend more time looking at this thing trying to decide how I\'m going to build stuff than actually buiding. However, I do plan to make another version of it on a \"fuck-my-enemies\" size one day, and I\'ll need some serious help to do it. So keep your eyes peeled, maybe you can help me when the time comes ;)

Tanks for that, good to know my hard work is paying off :)

And if you like this, you might like the ...gun... I\'m building to be the Yamato cannon. I\'m gonna post some pictures of it soon, give the big builders out here something to worry about ;)

As for blueprints, I\'m not sure what I will do. I\'m considering making my own faction someday, and this would be a bit of an advantage to have on the fleet. Not sure, I\'ll decide that later. It\'s not like this willbe finished that soon, anyway.

Look i may get some hate for this, but this is a warning to all heat seeking missile users out there.

If you fire them they will do one of the following:

    1. if you have turrets, they will hit or circle around them.

    2. if you have this and are fighting with your fac mates, the missiles may hit their ships.

Just a warning! (I\'ve learned this from my own experience, and others)

I see what you mean. When I was testing the Swarm missiles the heatseek ones gone in direction of the factory I had nearby. Then I got them on the same faction and it stopped. However they still fly around the turrets like you said, but a test I made during a pirate attack leads me to believe they have a \"preference\".for enemies. But anyway, this is probably just a bug, so if it get fixed the missiles are already installed ;)

Okay, so I\'m finally back from my two-week trip, so thats why I haven\'t posted an update for so long. Now I\'m back, and so is the serious work on this. For this update I have mostly some decorative stuff, but at the same time I have another thing that is the complete opposite.

First, I\'ve redone the engines. The old ones weren\'t bad, but the fact there was 10 instead than 4 just kept bugging me, and now I\'ve noticed an image that gives a better wiew of them.

Secondly, I\'ve built some crew quarters and a (mostly failed) attempt to build a bar.

    Officer Room:

    Crew Room:

    Bar:

And last, but not least: I have built the Yamato. I know, it is supposed to shoot a ball of energy, but the problem is, I can\'t think of a way to do that without making it nearly useless. So instead, I\'ve taken a more beam-weapon approach.

So, let\'s ignore that part. The cannon is basically various arrays of AMC in the old Chekerboard pattern. The ship is now around 800 meters long, so I estimate that this thing is around... 600 blocks long. Each one of the cannons can give out around 8,187 DPS, and there are 255 cannons here. So that brings us to a solid 2,087,709.8 DPS. Not counting the lag that happens when firing this thing. Quite powerful, I\'d say. Now I have to get enough power to give to this thing, currently it just drains all I have in five seconds. But considering how much free space there is between the cannons, that shouldn\'t be too big of an issue.
