    Simple suggestion

Make the background of the orientation section of the Advanced build mode white when changing the orientation of darker colour blocks such as black or dark grey. It is currently literally impossible to see which side your black wedge is facing in advanced build mode when you orientate blocks.

Just a quality of life improvement suggestion.

Well you can figure it out if you move in relation to it but yeah. Preview orientation has been fairly bugged since they last tweaked lighting I think.

Nope, it is pitch black in most cases, even moving in relative is gonna be a total pain in the arse.

Workaround until improved preview is implemented:

Use a light-colored solid block with the same shape to get the orientation you need. When switching back to the dark or transparent block type with that same shape, the orientation you selected with the lighter solid block should still be in place. In other words, use the same shape in white or grey hull to get the correct orientation and then switch back to the material you want.

For transparent stuff I'll often initially place it in some obnoxious but still well defined color like pink then replace after the shape is complete.

Unfortunately that doesn't work with some crappy old graphics stuff... like what I'm currently stuck with.
