At the moment, it's only possible to have one target selected at a time.

The idea for targeting computers is that for each targeting computer on a ship, the pilot can select another object.

The other idea that I had was tracking computers. If a ship has a tracking computer, the pilot can hold ctrl to enter advanced targeting mode, which comsumes more power, but for each tracking computer and targeting computer the ship has, one select object will have a marker loosely following it, showing where the object will probably(judging by vector and velocity) be by the time a shot from the weapon currently in use hits it.

Targeting Computer aka the Duelist in the Jumpgate community provides intelligent vector prediction to an attacking pilot to prodict where the bullets may land in a turn.

Another idea which would fit nicely with these two is a change to the Bobby AI (in the \"Starmade Dev Q&A\" vids the Devs mention that in they will do away with the Bobby AI blocks and have ships & turrets controlled by NPCs, I suggest instead keeping it and changing it\'s use), so that it can be used to fire any non-forward facing (port, starboard, aft, ventral & dorsal) weapons automatically. ;)
In combination then, the AI could broadside on multiple targets with an attached Targeting Computer rather than just one and an attached Tracking Computer would increase the accuracy on small, fast moving targets.
