Support the Multiplayer

    Should there be more Multiplayer interaction on the Servers?

    Hey Starmade Freaks,

    in our Forums on feedupyourbeast.de we had a good question.
    "why the hell everyone plays alone like in Singleplayer"
    And its just like that. Everyone comes to the Server build theyr base and ships on theyr immortal Homebase, but they have no reason to interact with other people.

    So in our Comunity there came up some good Ideas.

    Why not making less Shops in the universe? (isnt there already an option in the serverconfig?)

    Why not making the Homebase undestruktable only when there is no Member of the Faction on the Server
    (Settings in the Serverconfig to do it like that)

    Why the hell is it possible to build a Factory for every Resource at any place?
    (Maybe split up the Factorys like: a Factory for Powerblocks on an Iceplanet new weapon systems on alien-terrain etc.)

    this would bring all the players on a Server together or everyone will hunt each other down for the best resources.

    What do you think about that suggestions?
    or are those questions only for the hardcore "i know how to build an invincible Cube Thing" guys of you?

    I would like it if certain planet types give you materials to produce only certain things. However like most things this would first require economy to be fixed. Cuz at this point your a million times better off just salvaging the stuff you want or buying it.

    The only idea here I really dislike is the Homebase thing. All that will encourage is faction members not playing the game for fear of having their beautiful home base destroyed. There're already plans to handle this, let them be implemented.

    (Speaking of which, when I get home I should probably add more shielding to my home base on the test server... Juuuust in case something happens and I accidentally de-protect it again...)
