It’s worth mentioning that, with enough logic circuitry, you could write a command parser using the above additions. You could, quite literally, type “open airlock 12” into a display block and have your ship execute the command.

Okay, i've to do it now.

How about using an AND gate for comparing two display blocks instead of a sensor? I find that would be more intuitive.

Edit: schema now that we have a [name] function for displays, can we get cross entity display functionality? XD

Does fog of war include warpgate lanes? Will warpgates be undiscovered until a faction comes across it? schema

Will sending AI fleets to explore sectors help lift the FoW faster?

Can/will you be able to share map data with Allied factions?

So, when will AI fleets be able to uncover map details for us? Or will they? Can we expect this functionality when unloaded combat n' company get in?

For an AI fleet to do it they'd have to load the unexplored sector they are in for a second to check what's there. Well it'd be nice if they did at least that way we wouldn't have to uncover the whole asteroid belt beforehand. Once it has been loaded once by an AI there's no need to load it a second time by the AI. :)

[doublepost=1475888172,1475888032][/doublepost]Oh man I just opened my map in my survival world and everything is blank. That's great. Glad old worlds are not allready explored and I don't have to reset some configs in my world to use the new fog of war feature.

Awesome! Cartography is now a thing!

When you scan a system does it update in real time or is the scan only a snapshot at the moment you initiated the scan? If it was just a snap shot then that would allow for something like listening outposts to be set up. they would send out periodic scan pulses to update the map so you can keep track of whatever is going on. Also it would be a great reason to build space stations beyond our home base.

Because I'm an idiot, mostly with advance design and logic, what does all this extra display stuff do/mean? Or better yet, what theoretical/practical awesome stuff can you do with it?
