When I was growing up, I had an obession with Star Wars. Ok, I still have an obession with Star Wars.. anyway, when I was a kid I collected (read: had many epic battles with) many SW toys. My favorite by far was the Action Fleet (http://www.starwarsactionfleet.com/swaf.cgi?s=archive). After playing around in StarMade, I naturally started to build ships from the SW universe. I also naturally employeed.. er.. asked my friend Caecus to join me. So, now we can't really stop because we are having too much fun and decided we should share our toys with everyone else! We are shooting for a "feel good" size to the ships, not too small or too big, but with enough room for some detail. (That means these are not 1:1, and are not technically "fighters". Hope that doesn't bum you out.) Enjoy the ships!

    WAVE #01 RELEASE - 08/08/13
I've made quite a few ships already, Ceacus is beginging to work on his, but for the first wave I decided to get the obvious out of the way. Rebel Fighters has all the usual Rebel Alliance Starfighters you would expect to see right out of the gate. The blueprint links are at the bottom of the post.

Yes, I did plan on making a Firespray model.. a little spoiler for wave 04 ;)
Aside from the ships that you would expect to see, like Slave 1, expect to see some lesser known ships later on.

Lovely ships! I was a huge fan of action fleet as well! I\'ve got almost the whole collection. :D

I\'d love to see a T-Wing an E-Wing, and especially a Lambda Shuttle!

Thank you kindly! As far as those ships, I hadn\'t planned on the T-Wing or E-Wing, but did think about building the Lambda Shuttle.. I want to get through the long list I have, but maybe you will see these three down the road :)

What most of you people call \'fighters\' are roughly the size of nuclear submarines, and whenever I see something that is suposed to be a replica of a ship from a show, movie, or game, it is always either oversized or cut down to some awkward scale.

With the 1 block = 1 meter system, your X-wing should only be 12 blocks long. You could say 13 if you rounded up the .5 on the X-wing\'s actual length of 12.5.

Don\'t get me wrong, I love how the ships you made look along with most of the other replica ships I have seen on these forums, but making it the wrong size is just awkward...

Look was all I was going for, not scale. I mentioned that in the OP. I totally get what you are saying, but I kept winsing at all the Star Wars fighters out there because they look so... wimpy. You don\'t have to use mine ;)

Who cares about scale? It\'s people like you who bring others down with your obsession on specs and stats. I\'ve known too many like you who won\'t let the slightest error go wrong. This game is not a SW game and will never be, so let it go man. Lean back, drink your Mountain Dew and Cheetos and chill out huh? It\'s a game, not even that GOOD a game ok?

    WAVE #02 RELEASE - 08/15/13
For this wave, I chose to upload the 4 current Imperial Fighters I have replicated. Blue Hull was chosen because of my previous mention of love for the SW Action Fleet, for some reason they had a couple of the TIE models with a blue tint, and I always thought it looked cool. Blueprints at the bottom of this post!

    And from the post above:
\"Blue Hull was chosen because of my previous mention of love for the SW Action Fleet, for some reason they had a couple of the TIE models with a blue tint, and I always thought it looked cool.\"

TIEs of all classes come in any color, if you have seen any of the comics and/or read some of the novels of the Expanded Universe. My favorite were always the red TIEs, but blue made more sense with these since I was using mostly red and grey for the Rebel\'s ships :)
