There are a few, very generic decoration blocks that could be useful. Naturally, they should be drawn as compatible as possible with wedges and slabs in mind.

Wedge with a grid pattern on the hypotenuse side. (No text, or even text-like glyphs. Just generic "buttons" in a grid pattern. Good for angled keypads at any orientation. If it works out well enough, it might be good as a one-sided cube)
Wedge with a generic-looking screen. (No specific visual; good for any orientation. Maybe provide a slight glow to the screen with a glowmap, or even provide a slight glow at the faces adjacent to the hypotenuse side.)
New blocks, plus wedges, with a grid pattern of black filled circles (holes) on a grey background on only one side, drawn to be compatible with slabs and wedges. (Drawn so that adjacent angled blocks and wedges don't cut any of the drawn circles in half. Could represent everything from shower heads to dart traps. Even rivets.)
Blocks with generic grey slats on a black background (thin black lines around grey rectangles. Very similar to the non-business sides of the thruster block, but as pure decoration.)
Animated block with blinking lights in a grid pattern. (Preferably with a glow map. Hey, if we have logic systems that take up entire rooms like Eniac, we might as well go full-on silly-1960s with our computers.)

The lights blink out of sequence. Well, make them blink in sequence!

More complex decoration that may be more difficult to implement, but that would still be useful:

Chrome hull (Chrome blocks would be an incredible addition, similar to white hull, but catches specular highlights from any lightsource, including light blocks, beacons, and maybe even glowing crystals. If the material could be a given a reflection map with some distortion and slightly matted so that it's not completely mirrored, that would be a great bonus.)
Striped black/white hull. (Dark Grey hull with a thin white line through the middle. There are actually three variations: horizontal line, vertical line, and both. Might expand into diagonals, but then it's harder to have enough different blocks to allow for natural intersections between different angles.)
Striped black/chrome, Striped white/chrome would be fun variations. (Again, if it had a reflection map, that would be amazing.)

It would be neat if black/white mixed blocks could be linked to secondary and tertiary lights. When linked, the white color would be remapped to the color of the secondary light, and the black color would be remapped to the color of the tertiary light. This way, you could create a few pattern blocks, and builders could adapt them to any color scheme they need.

Maybe grill and mesh with solid black in place of the transparency. You can simply copy that pattern and invert the colors to get another keypad design.

An animated block with a glowing line where there is a high-intensity part of the glow that slides from one side of the block to the other side.
(This would be a fun, subtle way to get players pointed towards a feature.)

Blocks with backlit features would be a fun way to get detail without a detailed 3D model. Could use a glowmap.

This link is a great illustration, showing how Star Trek reuses set features (decoration blocks, in Starmade parlance). The point is that these generic blocks would find a great many uses, and would not be limited to very specific use-cases.

Nothing says "futuristic" like a bunch of random blinking lights!
