My first real big project on starmade, hopefully to be followed by the Strike Cruiser and Battlebarge. Based loosely on the Space Marine Gladius Frigate (1-5 scale). Currently put about 10 hours in I think to this project.

One thing I'm trying really hard to do however is to make the ship not just look good but to be a beast in combat,

The internals I'm just moving onto, the superstructure for the front 90% of the ship is finished, with just details to add, the rear and underside of the ship have a lot of work to do yet. I've also built a 1-1 scale thunderhawk gunship which is dockable to the frigate, and one such docking bay, planning on maybe 5 total thunderhawk bays.

      Also planning on:

      Thunderbolt fighters and corresponding bays

Working Drop-pod system (using pulse cannons)

There\'s a server and a community exactly for what you\'re doing.

      EDIT: Good work so far.

EDIT2: What\'s that with the pulse cannons you say?

I plan to create a dockable flat-ish ship to attatch to the main frigate, which will face downwards and be equipped with pulse cannons, onto this ship I will then dock drop pods, hopefully, by first un-docking the pods and then in-turn firing the pulse cannons, I\'ll have a working drop-pod system. Which could theoretically be used to launch pods into a planet\'s gravity well and then maybe if I set up a rudimentary AI+weapon system on the pods, I can have a pretty fun planetary seige type weapon

So I got a little obsessed and after about 2-3 hours I have a 100% functional drop-pod assembly! Each drop pod has it\'s own launch camera and pulse cannon so each can be launched seperately, they fire off at about 70ms-1 and are equipped with an AI and rudimental AM cannon and shields/power. Haven\'t yet tested at firing into a gravity well but that can come later.

Those drop pod launchers look pretty nice, I think I will try using pulse cannons and Explosive blocks to try and make a torpedo launcher later
