I would like to know if there are a few pve beginner servers or even players willing to show a new guy the ropes. I understand that this is a fun community and I am looking forward to it all.

It really depends on what you are looking for since that normally describes a lot of servers. Quiet servers like Aetherion and Fillecraft don't normally a lot of people but the ones they do have are most of the time willing to help out. As for larger servers I'm not sure since I'd have to check.
