EDIT AS OF 8th November 2019:
I plan to bring back this shipyard in a big way as soon as I'm able to acquire a new computer. My Battlestar Pegasus has been recovered, I've unfortunately lost my WIP Basestar but I will start it again and make it much improved over my first iteration. Battlestar Galactica Online ships will be built, both Colonial and Cylon - I've already started on the strike craft with a fully complete Cylon Malefactor and Colonial Rhino using the QuickFire Config. The Battlestar's Valkyrie, Poseidon and Yashuman WONT be updated, instead I will rebuild all 3 to a bigger size (from </~300m to ~400m+) so that they are deserving of the name "Battlestar". A Berzerk class Battlestar and 'Baby' Battlestar Jotunn are too in the works.
    END OF EDIT

    Overview:

This thread showcases the Reimagined Battlestar Galactica Series ships, I don't do the original series. Please leave feedback, as I will most likely act up on it. Scroll down to the Downloads section of this post to find ships ready for release, you can also find the latest updates on the shipyard by looking at the highest page number of this thread.

Yes, I plan to build Galactica. Yes, I plan to build Pegasus. Yes I plan to build the Cylon Basestar. These things take time, so don't expect them to be on the dock within a month or so, please be patient and this thread will be finished with beautiful gritty Battlestar Galactica ships.

    Current Game Plan:

Game plan last updated on: 19/06/17
    Current Project:
    Battlestar Pegasus

    Side Project:
    Battlestar Berzerk

My game plan is to start small and gradually work up. I'm doing the smaller Battlestars aswell as strike craft such as Vipers/Raiders.

    Game Plan order:
    1) Small strike craft - Done.
    2) Valkyrie "Yashuman" Class Refit - Complete.
    3) Valkyrie "Valkyrie" Class - Complete.
    4) Mercury "Pegasus" Class - Shell Made, working on detailing the shell.
    5) Jupiter "Galactica" Class - Shell made.
    6) Guardian Basestar - Not started.
    7) Cylon War Basestar - Not started.
    8) Modern Cylon Basestar - Working on the Shell.
    9) Infected Baseship - Not started.
    10) Rebel Baseship - Not started.
    # More to come #

    Side Projects:
    1) Monarch - Shell made.
    2) Gemini Cargo Freighter
    3) Tylium Refinery ship
    4) Cloud 9 - Shell made.
    5) Celestial
    6) Cylon Tylium Refinery Asteroid Base
    # More to come #

Major ships that have been completed/are being worked on:

    Battlestar Valkyrie Refit Class:
Started work on ship on 1 December 2015 - Finished 14 February 2016
    Battlestar Valkyrie Class:
Started work on ship on 14 February 2016 - Finished 7 April 2016
    Battlestar Mercury Class:
Started work on ship on 1 June 2017 - Current Date.
    Cylon Basestar:
Started work on ship on 1 June 2017 - Current Date.

    Ship Size:

I want to make it clear that I am not doing these all 1:1. Some will be half scale, some will be 3/4. This is to make the ships easier to get on Multiplayer and so that the ship isn't a HUGE lagfest. If Starmade will be able to handle a 1:1 in the future, I will redo them.

This is a maybe. Without going into a rant about the bad points of the game, I do like some of the ship designs used, like the Rhino because it's more cannon / colonial looking than some.

Battlestar Vigilance = ~ (Not a canon Battlestar, my own one I made up :) . On the back burner for now)

I may also do the Battlestar Theseus from Diaspora.

    Please Note:

The ships aren't going to be done in the next month or so. I am a one man army, the ships are going to take time to complete.

Sure, I'll start off with the Raptor I built:
    Link:
    BSG Raptor

Note: This ship is too big. Though it is the right size to combat an Isanth. When I mean refit/haircut, I mean I am going to rebuild it on a small, more 1:1 scale. I read somewhere that both the Raptor and Viper MKII are 9m in length - though I might buff this to 12.

    Secondly, the Viper MKII:

Also, the Viper MKVII (I really need to rebuild this, it is poorly built):

ALMOST forgot this little sexy beat, a Cylon Raider. I must of forgot to upload this, she is way over 9m in length and her width is insane.

    Update:

    Images:

I have done some interior, mostly corridors right now, but there is a CIC with a DRADIS console that can move up and down. There is also the back of the ship done, I'm putting in two FTL Drives there. Finally, I have replaced the name plate from Valkyrie to Poseidon, because the Valkyrie was not a Valkyrie Refit Class, but the original Valkyrie Class.

Updates will pick up as we move into the Holidays, I'm currently busy with school at the moment, fingers crossed I don't get much homework! :) I aim to get this Valkyrie Class Refit done at the start of the holidays. Then I'll move on to the original Valkyrie Class and smaller ships. Hopefully I'll have enough time in the holidays to do the Mercury Class Battlestar.

I love the CIC, it looks great the way you have things laid out. That DRADIS is pretty beast mode as well.

Hangar pods on the sides are just a bit too far from the main body, maybe get them closer to the primary hull by 1 or 2 blocks.
Though maybe I am looking at it wrong, maybe the aft area needs thickening to balance it out...
So I need more pictures to make sure I aint making any visual errors.

    Thanks for the constructive criticism!

Edit: ### No longer available, doesn't matter as the ship is now completed ###

From what I can make it, comparing it with the reference pictures, the flight pods need to go on a diet. Also, like you said, the aft needs thickening. This will delay the construction of the ship, but it'll be worth it :)

    Update:
    Update as of 20/12/15:

Note: All these ships are a little over 1:1, so they are more effective in starmade.
    Raptor = Finished
    Viper MKII = Finished
    Viper MKIII = Finished
    Viper MKVII = Finished
    StealthStar = Finished

    Strike craft to do:
    Cylon Raider,
    Cylon Heavy Raider,
    Colonial BlackBird.

    Battlestars to do:
Valkyrie Class Refit - Almost done with the exterior, redoing the flight pods and aft section to make it look more like the reference pictures.
Mercury Class Battlestar - Roughly got the dimensions of the ship. I could only find the Mercury class length online, I've had to guess the width and height by comparing it with Galactica's dimensions, I also used Side by Side Pegasus & Galactica pictures.

    Strike craft pictures:
From left to right, Raptor, Viper MKII, Viper MKIII, Viper MKVII, Stealthstar.
The Raptor is most spot on in my opinion, I could imagine that landing on my Hangar deck with Admiral Cain walking out.

+Updated OP to contain finished ships.

Dude you know you have to make the launchers for the fighters now right? Dock them via rail and use a push beam. Have the rail undock and then a 1 second delay with the push beam. You could set up a chain delay so the fighters would be thrown out of the side of the ship. You could go absolutely hammer with this. I think it's amazing how small the fighters are yet they maintain the right profile.

I grew up watching re-runs of the original (Late 80s) so this project is a nostalgia trip for me to see!

Thanks! I checked out your orion class, you have done an amazing job so far! Don't give up on it, I know it maybe easy to now that you have exams going on and such. Work for me is slow going too, I cannot wait till I am doing the Mercury and Jupiter classes - They'll be quite the treat.

Definitely want to be able to launch vipers. That will be an aim for the bigger battlestars. Unfortunately, with the Valkyrie Classes being that small, and me doing them on half scale, the launch tubes wont be possible for the Valkyrie Class and the Valkyrie Class Refit.

I will upload an experimental launch tube that I am working on to the Starmade Dock in a few days time. Hopefully, through feed back, I'll get ways in which I can improve upon it. So that when I have done the Valkyrie classes, I will redo the Launch tube, perfect it, and then I have something to launch vipers from on the Jupiter and Mercury class Battlestars.

Out of interest, which did you prefer? The Reimagined series or the original - and why?

c: Thanks to you as well. I can't wait to see what you do with your builds, I'm definitely going to take them for a spin when you post them. If you ever need a beta tester for a ship, let me know!

    Small Update:
The Valkyrie Class Refit is going well. I will post an update with pictures on Christmas, I welcome critics to find flaws. Also, I will be releasing my experimental Viper Launch tube with a couple of Vipers with it on Christmas day. I may or may not release The Raptor and Stealthstar - reserve them for New Years :)

I'm also on that awkward phase where I'm stuck on how to build some stuff, so too much of my time has been spent redesigning and rebuilding some stuff. I can't wait to see what you come out with!
