    Is there some way to hide all rail entities (door, docked power/shield) from the HUD/Navigator? (I know turrets disappear until they are un-docked, but that is not what I'm asking.)

    The reason why is if you build a ship/station with enough rail entities (that are not turrets), you then have a very cluttered HUD/Navigator screen. My opinion is that it's discouraging to not have very many rail entities in your structures. No cool opening doors all over the ship, or bay doors for drones/turrets to pop out.

    But when you do make them into your structure, then it looks like multiple target indicators and covers up the awesomeness of your creativity. That's not fun.

    NOTE: I have done the needful and search the forums. Zero on this topic, unless of course it's buried in the commands or config files and it's not called something that's obvious.

    You are able to hide docked entities in the navigation panel. (The same way as turrets)
    Press N => Filter => uncheck "docked"

    This isn't new. Welcome to StarMade. ;)

    Many requests have been made to remove this problem in some way or another. The filter is more of a work around, imo. In addition to removing the doors and elevators, you lose sight of any actual ships.

    Aye true. Sometimes I feel like a noob, even though I've been playing with it since spring this year. :oops:

    I think I see your reasoning. If rail entities were not tied to ship cores, then it wouldn't be a problem after all. Since they are, which I can understand being block based, it's a workaround on the filter. But like your sig says, we don't see the full picture. And I put my trust on the Schine team.

    P.S. I'm surprised no one likes my faceplam gif of Uhura?!! Search pretty hard for that one that was not Picard or Janeway. :p
