push beam

was watching one of the u-tube tutorials and of course I can't find it anymore, but it showed a ship attached to a rail docker. and to launch the ship they used a push beam which pushed it straight up. I have tried doing the same thing to launch a ship but can't get it to work , does anyone know how to do this.

Are you familiar with the new tractor beam blocks? You can use it in the push configuration with logic for the same effect. Make sure you orient your computer in the right direction to 'push' in the desired direction.

A far better solution exists in the form of pickup and shootout rails. They function just like normal rails and allow for "launching" effects with out the risk of collision.
