When a player sits on a block no matter where that block goes the player will stay on it unless it gets destroyed, Why not add this feature to when a player logs off as well, The game will save in its save-file a persistence record that states the players status as sitting on that block, This way when a player logs back in no matter where that block (Or the ship its attached to) goes the player will still be sitting, A great Role-play aspect because multiple players could man the same ship and one could log off for a while and not find himself floating in empty space when he returns.

Perhaps the game could generate an NPC to occupy the seat when to player is off so no one else could use it as well as showing that its occupied to begin with.

Yes please... This should also apply to entering computers. If you sit while in a computer or core the player should still be visible and possibly shootable by hand weapons, just not targetable on nav.

    1. Needs a configurable expiration time/day limit. (E.g. If the player doesn't return to the server in 7 days, the NPC is spontaneously killed, if only to make room for other players.
    2. If the player NPC stand-in is killed or expired (point 1), it's like the player has been killed and they are out of the universe until they spawn back at an undeathenator.

Can the NPC be nudged, hijacked, kidnapped, or otherwise moved? This is important for roleplay and needs to be balanced against trolling and simple I'm-not-where-I-should-be frustration.
