My character was reset after update

I lost all my progress, my ships, all the resources I mined, Everything. Now the game has me starting a character. How do I load up my previous character and get my stuff back. It's as if I just started and all my progress has been lost. Please help

If it\'s on the online server, then the server has been reset. If it\'s single-player then it\'s your universe were reset or your save files were corrupted or removed. Either way, there\'s nothing you or developers can do about it.

If you were playing local you probably installed to a different location
