We've made a couple of changes to our appeal system, after receiving feedback from a number of users and our moderation team.

We have moved the appeal form from Google Forms to our own form. This appeal form can be submitted even when a user is banned from the site (unless an IP ban has been made). In case a user is not able to access this page, an email address is made available. We have realised our appeal system is slow and inefficient, maintaining a separate email and Google Sheet solely for appeals is impractical. Its limitations were shown after admin activity reduced in the past year. Unfortunately, this resulted in a lot of appeals being missed.

Our new method posts the appeals to our moderation section, with a poll allowing mods to vote on the appeal and be notified straight away. Whereas with the Google Form, we had to check the sheet every day to see if responses had been made. Having it all based on the forum will allow us to utilise tagging tools, posts, polls and notification features. Ultimately, appeals will be finalised by administration (unless the moderator who issued it reverses). However, this should cut wasted time on an external system.

The Google Form link has been modified to notify users of the new system, all new warning points and emails will provide the new appeal system as well.
