Map of sorts?

    I think it would be a lot more feasible to look at some sort of 3D-ish map that let us know of our surroundings, and I think the way Dead Space did their map kinda shows what im talking about. However, I think altitude should be color-coded on the map to show how far up/down an object is when looking at the map to make it more easy to see. There should be info on this map as well, including distance and what the object is.





    Edit: Here's another cool idea, how about 2 tabs for the map, one being for the solar system you're in, another being for the object you're currently on?

    But how to define room in a voxel game?

    • Just dedect every surface on top of a block with 2 blocks height free?
    • Dedect ramps and jump spots if the ceiling is heigh enough to jump?



    And with the new update, you can walk on the ceiling of a room. A room would basically be 2 ... or 6 different.

    Perhaps it should just make a starting point from where you are currently standing, and map only the floor of all walkable surfaces, and if it hits a wall, then it maps the wall and nothing beyond the wall, not including plex doors.

    But if you are talking about a map for stations and ships then +1
