Larger Thruster Plumes!

So, for a while I've wanted larger thruster plumes.
So I made them.

This is LTP!
Thanks to @BearishMushroom for initial help with the shader!

This mod simply makes the thruster plumes more plume-y, extending them and making them brighter. It is a 2-part mod.
1. Model replacement.
2. Shader tweaking.

Both parts are included with the mod.

It does - or at least the color does.

What i meant is it would be great if the thruster plumes in the vanillia game extended from the current one to what you have here.

It does go from the small plumes to the large ones, through the magic of shaders. I need to make the transitions a little smoother.

I am creating a separate installation of Starmade just so I can try this out. It looks amazing.

Hmmm, my thruster plumes have always been kind of plain. It's really noticeable with this mod. Is there some setting that I need to change or is it from a difference in video cards?

It really does make ships look so much more alive and faster too!
It actually looks like we got some proper thrust and not just a random ship moving by the magic of nothing.

With some fixing this should defiantly be standard for the ingame engine.

The most recent version has very little distortion effects. The one seen in that pic is the first release.

The latest one has much more responsive plumes.

My plums are flat and boring while the others seem to be animated throughout the entire thing.

That's the distortion effect. It's still there, in the form of the plume 'shaking' under full heat.

I never thought about it, but a larger thruster plume really does add the sensation of speed.

Nope, shaders are client only
