Bug Incredible lag when aligning gravity

As the title says; whenever I align gravity with a ship or shop (ship shop, lol) I experience lag, with ping well above 10'000 (I'm never dropped, I can let the client sit forever without anything happening, and both the server and people see me online).

Is this a known issue, or should I file a report?
I did search, but didn't find anything similar.

Do note that this isn't a bug report; if it isn't a known issue I'll compile the necessary info and report it on the tracker.

I think this is a known issue, possibly one of the notorious ones. Anything gravity seems to make the game laaaaaaag especially when trying to load a planet.

I just had a ship with multiple gravity modules become a lagger. When I enter the gravity field of the ship my FPS goes from 60 to 9.

There are many gravity units because it is a tutorial-ship. (Also has a ton of multi-colored displays that I placed as templates. Otherwise not big or complicated.
