Ice doesn't seem to render blocks behind itself

when I noticed that ice was semitransparent, I also saw that a rock block in an asteroid only rendered one surface and not 'within' the ice at all. I believe that didn't use mods and could reproduce it by placing ice on my ship, and seeing that the surfaces behind the ice weren't rendered. (0.14)

    Yep.

Currently the transparency of Ice is dertermined just by the alpha channel on the diffuse textures. So (i think) the engine will presume we can\'t see behind the block as it is, thus not rendering it.
I\'m yet to alter block configs for the new textures, but i think setting the block type to transparent sould fix this. I\'ll bring it up with other devs later. If that is the case it\'s a simple enough fix.

    Thanks for reminding me!

I actually dont mind, its quite useful as some kind of monitor showing th outside, if its far enough it will be rendered and u can see it in the \"screen\".
