I reserved a User name before I created an account?

I think I reserved my preferred username "Aenghus" before I created a Starmade account, which means I have no password and can't log into it.

I bought the game on Steam, but want to connect it to an account with the username Aenghus, not this one.

Admins could you fix please.

well, the username "Aenghus" is already taken in the registry by another mail-address.
If you still have access to that mail-address and are able to send a mail with it to support (refering to ticket ID 392), I can exchange the names or rename the other account to allow this account to be attached to that name.

In any other case, I cannot just claim that username for you.

that taking a username (registered by someone else) away from that user is not fair, I also gave you another tip that may help:

Hello <name-hidden>,

the good thing about this is:

It is only the 'account name' used to uplink.

Your playername on the server can be anything different if you like.

So you could use multiple identities on one server, or if it was not used before, even Aenghus on every server that was not visited by the other 'Aenghus' yet. (According to account ID it may be an older account that is not in use anymore, but for obvious reasons I cannot tell or predict that).
