Turrets are now able to, and do indeed, damage the ships they are docked to, if the ship gets between the turret and the target it's shooting. Turrets docked to the same ship also damage each other if the same thing happens. Due to inaccuracy, they actually do more damage to the ship they are docked to, and to each other, than to the enemies.

I need confirmation, is this a bug, or intended?

Turrets shooting turrets is known, however testing showed turrets are unable to damage the mothership. any insight you can provide on this?

I thought the turret shooting turret bug was also fixed in one of the latest patches, or it could be my turrets just have enough shields that I just don't notice it anymore.

It only started in the latest release. I was in free camera watching how my ship fares against the pirates, and I suddenly spotted the turret beam/AMCs cause damage markers and shield hit visuals on my ship they were docked to. Checking the same thing in build mode confirmed that my turrets were actually doing more damage to my ship than to the pirates.
