Fog of War - Weekend Homebase Vulnerability, Territory Control Rewards, 400k 600M build limit

      Our goal is to bring forth the interaction and activity of players that has long been desired in the starmade community. Our plan to do this is with periodic Homebase Vulnerability and initiating territory control disputes by automatically rewarding the controlling factions with resources. Utilizing the best hardware and network connections to push the performance of Starmade; we will attempt to revive the faction warfare days of old. How you play is on you, will you make allies that will help you seize the resource rewards of specified controlled territories? Or will you prioritize gathering of resources for a massive assault on your rivals homebase during Weekend of War (Judgement Hour).

      Weekend of War - A period where all faction homebases are made vulnerable for a period of 48 hours
      Custom Block Values - We have gathered the most PVP focused players and used their input to check and balance each weapons system so there is no "Meta"
      Increased Station Shields
      - This is done by the new rule system allowing the developers to add ION effects
      Territory Control Rewards - 4 Sectors each giving resources for control by a faction. Gain passive income for owned systems
      Credit Banking System - Chat commands !deposit/!withdraw to store credits safely in the bank
      No Chat Moderation - The exception to this is Spam which will obviously be regulated
      Ship Size Limits - 600m on all axis, 300K mass limit. Enforced with the new rule system. No more titan wars.
      No Shipyard Structure Requirement - Tired of the ugly 600M long stick structure off the side of your base?
      Mass limited thrust - No more battle ships chasing down a fighter/bomber like they have supersonic capabilities. Every class of ship will have its potential speed limitations

      • Implemented Server Wrapper to work with Credit System
      • Implemented Rulesets to reduce thrust values based on mass
      • Implemented Rulesets to send SOS message upon ship overheat
      • Implemented Rulesets and Effectconfig to make ALL stations to include home more defensible
      • Implemented Rulesets and gameconfig to limit ship dimensions and masses
      • Started work on weaponsconfig to check & balance each weapons system with one another
      • Fine-Tuned Factionconfig to be more conducive to faction wars, Territory means something now.
      • Put together a panel of Coders, SysAdmins, and Prominent PVP Figures to help guide development
      • Initiated Discord Server to allow for community interaction
      • Started work on Spawn Hub.

      Awesome stuff. Since this is exactly the things i made the rule system for I like to help as much as possible with this project, since the possible conditions/actions resulting from this should be universally useful for all server administrators.

      Are you going to implement anything to curb output spam as the most effective way of delivering block damage or is using a couple dozens-hundreds outputs still the way to go ?

      Since when it stopped anyone? You just use a computer per output and laugh at it.

      Limiting outputs and computers per ship is probably going to happen to some extent.
      Turrets and logic weapons don't care if you have 100 weapon systems copy pasted.

      What about making low damage chamber a basic effect applied to all ships at around 5-8% of shield capacity? Or something similar.

      We're working with the Quickfire initiative and prominent pvp players to find a good balance in configs.
