Is there any practical use for these things, or are they just for decoration?

You need the Crystals and Ingots (cubes) to make the Coloured Glass types (Crystal Armour) and Advanced Armour. Circuits and Motherboards are just decorations now as stated.

Ingots and crystals will eventually be used to reduce the inventory space taken up. This will only be a use when we get limited stacks.

Stack Limits? Any ideas on the number per stack (currently 2.14bil). It's the one thing I hate most about minecraft... 64 blocks (or less) is just not enough!

The limit is probably going to be in the tens of thousands, but that's just speculation right now.

Hopefully it's less a stack limit and more a "weight" system with a max capacity.

That would indeed be a lot better for the game. Players could have millions of light objects in an inventory.

Now I think about it, maybe a volume system would be better. That way we have a reason to create compact blocks.
Or both. You can't have too much mass and you can't have too much volume taken.

There was a really good suggestion on cargo a while ago. Essentially, you'd put blocks in these docked areas. 1 thruster in a cargo area = 100 thrusters or something.

I thought your inventory consisted of dematerialized items stored in your suit's memory or something. And that was why we could carry millions of blocks. In that regard, when we get stack limits why not have the ability to expand the memory of the suit
