    Made a few ships, and just wanted to show them off and get some feedback on what people think of them.

    ========================================

    Lazarus Class Frigate:
    http://i.imgur.com/HyXDtAc.jpg

    Aprox Dimentions: L - 36 W - 15 H - 12
    Hull Type: Standard Hull Plating
    Hull Thickness: Average of 1 Block
    ?Power Source: 3x3x3 Singularity Reactor
    Acceleration: -1- -2- -3- {4} -5-
    Manuverability: -1- -2- -3- {4} -5-

    Here is my first ever ship in starmade. (Aside from the first first ship you make with the starting parts) I classify it as a frigate due to its intended functionality and modularity of its main system housing in the forward half of the ship. Its power source is a 3x3x3 reactor and has a few shield generators. It has some forward weapon systems and salvaging beams, and also has a turret docking port on top and a ship docking port on bottom for a small landing craft.

    The forward half of the ship is indended to be modular, so you can fill it with AMCs, salvager cannons, or anything else you wish. This allows the ship to be fitted to perform almost any role, be it a missile platform, ship repair, harvistor, etc.

    Version 2 of this ship has been upgraded to be fitted with hardened hull plating, making it much more durable for warfare use, or if it finds itself under attack during salvage missions.

    ========================================

    Ikorus Class Destroyer:

    Aprox Dimentions: L - 64 W - 25 H - 20
    Hull Type: Hardened Hull Plating
    Hull Thickness: Average of 2 Blocks
    Power Source: 5x5x5 Singularity Reactor
    Acceleration: -1- -2- -3- {4} -5-
    Manuverability: -1- -2- {3} -4- -5-

    This ship was my first attempt at a larger build (By my standards). It was built to be a defender for my faction planet. It features 3 turret ports ( 2 top, 1 bottom), and the front half of the ship houses nothing but AMCs. Because of the need for so many internal systems, the actual habitable portion inside the ship is a tiny 5x5x3 space for the core and computers, connected to a hallwat that exits the ship on either side. I wanted to maximize the protection of the core, and maximize the potential firepower.

    As this ship was designed after my Lazarus frigate, it has the potential for modularity if desired. The entire main weapon system could be replaced with anything, including added living space.

    Aprox Dimentions: L - 200 W - 80 H - 70
    Hull Type: Hardened Hull Plating
    Hull Thickness: Average of 3-6 blocks
    Power Source: Custom Split Singularity Reactor
    Acceleration: -1- -2- -3- {4} -5-
    Manuverability: {1} -2- -3- -4- -5-

    A behemoth by my standards of ship sizes. This ship is modeled after the Ikorus Destroyer, thus the Ikorus classification. It was designed to provide the ultimate protection for anyone wanting to explore the cosmos and not be tied down to a single planet or station. As this ship is a developmental prototype currently, its armorment is a bit lacking, and unlike its smaller cousin, it does not have a forward weapon system in the front half of the ship. Instead the front has been made into a hanger for small ship/fighters.

    Also unlike previous ships, it is possible to enter the spire, where as past ship only had view points for piloting. The top deck of the ship has a ship docking port which is large enough to accept Lazarus class ships. There is also some living space for crew.

    Aprox Dimentions: L - 67 W - 35 H - 22
    Hull Type: Hardened Hull Plating
    Hull Thickness: Average of 1-3 blocks
    Power Source: Integrated Synaptic Generator. (Runs throughout the ship like a vervus system)
    Acceleration: -1- -2- -3- {4} -5-
    Manuverability: -1- -2- {3} -4- -5-

    Modeled off the Ikorus Destroyer, this ship was designed in response for the need of better warships.

    Engineers gutted the Ikorus and refitted it with new technology, like the Integrated Synaptic Generator. It uses quantum coils spanning the entire length of the ship to produce energy from the space around it.

    Weaponry has been overhaulted as well. The main gun was stripped and replaced with a slightly smaller variant. The side engines were redesigned to be more streamline, and new housings for weapons were added. Further, two turret mounts existing from the Ikorus were redesigned to support larger turrets and to be overall more robust.

    Other features include 2 rooms for crew and gravity generators for comfort. Crew quarters can be removed if necessary for a larger forward gun.

    Aprox Dimentions: L - 8 W - 7 H - 3
    Hull Type: Hardened Hull Plating
    Hull Thickness: Average of 1 block
    Power Source: Dual Core 1x3 Generators
    Acceleration: -1- -2- -3- -4- {5}
    Manuverability: -1- -2- -3- -4- {5}

    By design, larger ships have docking ports on their underside to hold a support craft of some kind. Rarely do ships travel into the atmosphere for docking, but rather send a small craft. This small ship is compact and can perform various roles, such as transport or fighter.

    The first ship to use these new fighters is the Helcyon Void.

    Weapon systemd consist of two 4 barreled AMCs. Comes with a modest shield system, 2 storage bays, and a faction modual.

    Thus concludes my ship presentation. I would love to hear what you all think of my designs, and any constructive criticism you may have about them.

    Even though the builds have a lot of redundacy (they all look the exact same), you pull that off exceptionally well, I like them, they look good. The color scheme is astounding. Lots of detail. I would recommend building more versions, like carriers, and salvage ships.

    Thank! It surprises me too, since im never able to be consistant with basically anything.

    A lot of redundancy, I know. My attempts at consistancy tend to produce redundancy. Could you point out which areas stand out the most?

    Having a similar looking fleet =/= redundancy. Redundancy is having back up systems, such as multiple weapon system computers so a ship can keep fighting even if one is lost. If the ships were actually the same size and looked similar it would be redundant. Having a series of ships Corvette-Frigate-Cruiser-Destroyer-Battleship each bigger than the last isn\'t redundancy. I myself prefer ships in a fleet to share similar design aspects and have them look like they were built/designed by the same shipyard/navy whatever.

    The ships look good, they have plenty of detail while not going overboard and they looks quite functional.

    as with redundancy? Or the good use of style? The biggest thing that seems redundant, is the placing of the cockpit relative to its shape, so really they look the same, just diff sizes, as with style, mostly the ribbing, that is pretty neat use of blocks there, common, but kinda better than other peoples attempts. lol.

    Okay, err, whatever, I was close though at least right? :D Also, I saw some of your ships the other day, pretty neat.

    Well the cockpit is placed in the spire, which in the design of similar ships, is where the ship is usually controlled. I would put the core there, but alas that is literally the life force of the ship, so putting it anywhere not heavily protected is suicide. I wish you could enter a ship through the cockpit.

    Now on to the reviews-

    The ships look good and strong, with their mass using up a lot of the dimensional directions. Interesting color scheme, I rarely see someone manage to pull it off like you did. However, there is such a thing as too much ribbing, and you come near that limit. I\'d reccomend using less ribbing, and some more flat plates, or other detail.

    They almost look they are living. It\'s really unique. and I haven\'t seen anything like it.

    I\'ll agree with FlyingDebris in saying it is bordering on too much ribbing, but you pull it off well. It doesn\'t look too over the top.

    A couple of new ships added to the fleet.

    I\'m starting to think my \"frigate\" is a bit too big to be a frigate......... It\'s 300 blocks long..... You know.......

    The popular trend seems to indicate that my frigate is too small. Many ascribe to much larger ship classifications than I do, making my frigate more in line with a fighter or small transport.

    Ship classifications are personal and arbitrary. Don\'t worry about what other people call their ships. Call yours whatever you want.
